Community Contribution Company – New Corporate Structure in BC

K.E. Johnson Law worked with clients to set up a corporation under the “Community Contribution Company” rules recently implemented in BC under the Business Corporations Act. This innovative corporate structure is an alternative to conventional not-for-profit structures, and enables a company to raise capital and pay dividends to shareholders within limits, while furthering selected community objectives with the profits from its operations.
